The result
Double-height spaces, a sculptural staircase and not a machine in sight. Finished in 2018, running ever since — and we still do the maintenance.

On its own it provides heat. Combined with an air-source heat pump it can gently cool the floor, and in this house the real summer cooling comes from the ducted air hidden in the false ceiling. A single technical room covers comfort all year round.
Yes, as in this project: the circuits are laid over a studded panel and covered with a mortar screed; any flooring then goes on top. The key is to allow for the height of that screed when planning the renovation, so it is worth discussing before the work starts.
We keep maintaining it ourselves. This house was finished in 2018 and has been running ever since with our maintenance. As an RITE-registered company, we leave the installation legalised and follow it up year after year.
