Inside the plant room
The pump draws water from the skimmer and the main drain, pushes it through the AstralPool filter and returns it through the inlets. That whole circuit has to pass through the filter several times a day. If the pump is undersized or the valves are badly arranged, the water barely moves, dead spots appear and no amount of chemistry will fix it. That is why we calculate the flow rate before anything is bought.
In the video the valves are spaced and labelled. That is not for looks: it is what lets us isolate the pump without draining the system, backwash the filter without flooding the room, and change a part in twenty minutes instead of half a morning. A plant room where everything is squeezed together costs money on every single breakdown, because each job means dismantling parts that had nothing to do with the fault.
The water here carries a lot of limescale, and in a pool that shows up in the filter, in the shell and in the working life of the pump. The treatment is set up for that reality: pH control, disinfection and filtration sized so it never has to run at its limit. If the house also has a water softener or reverse osmosis, we look at the whole system, because the filling water shapes everything that happens afterwards.
We build and repair the plant room: pumps, filters, valves, pipework and water treatment. We do not clean pools or maintain the pool shell, and we would rather say so before you call us. If what you need is the technical side — an installation that works, holds its water and lasts — that is exactly our trade, and has been since 1998. Equipment carries the statutory three-year guarantee (arts. 115 quater and 120 TRLGDCU) plus the manufacturer warranty.
