Why JSL

Charge your car at home, done properly

A safe, certified charging point ready for grants. No botch jobs and no improvised sockets.

Wallbox, Simon and top brands

I mount the most reliable and popular charger brands. I calculate the ideal charging power for your car and electrical installation (single-phase at 7.4 kW or three-phase up to 22 kW) so you can charge at the maximum safe speed.

100% legal and safe

I run an independent line direct from your main board with dedicated electrical protections, and I issue the official installation certificate (boletín) registered with the Govern de les Illes Balears under the ITC-BT-52 regulation. Your safety comes first.

All paperwork for grants ready

I prepare and hand over all the technical documentation of the installation, a detailed invoice, and the registered certificate so you can easily justify and claim the MOVES III subsidy with the Balearic Govern.

Buildings and community garages

If you park in a community garage, you do not need permission from the owners' board. Under Article 17.5 of the Spanish Horizontal Property Law, a simple written notice is enough. I will prepare the letter for you so you only have to sign and deliver it.

Charge for free with your solar

If you have or are going to install solar panels, I will configure your charger to prioritise solar surplus. This way, you will charge your car's battery with clean, 100% free energy straight from the sun.

Installed by your own electrician

As an authorised electrician, I personally take care of the entire process from start to finish: we lay the cabling, adapt your distribution board, and legalise the installation without any subcontracts or middlemen.

Regulations and legalisation in the Balearics

A charging point is not just a socket

Installing a charger is a regulated electrical installation. It's not just about running any random wire: you need to calculate protections and load distribution. At JSL, I mount it and legalise it for you in full here in Mallorca, so you can charge with absolute safety. Here is what's included:

Low-voltage regulations (ITC-BT-52)

I design and install it according to the specific technical instruction for electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This means running an independent circuit directly from your main electrical board, equipped with its own dedicated miniature circuit breaker (MCB) and residual current device (RCD), along with the surge protector required to shield your car.

Authorised electrical installer + boletín

As an authorised electrician, I issue your Electrical Installation Certificate (the boletín) and register it in the electronic portal of the Govern de les Illes Balears. This is your guarantee that the installation is 100% legal and safe, ensuring full compliance for your home insurance or the power company.

Communities of owners (parking buildings)

If you live in an apartment building and your parking space is in a community garage, don't worry: you do not need the approval of the owners' board. According to Article 17.5 of the Spanish Horizontal Property Law, you only need to notify the community in writing before starting. I will prepare the written notice for you so you only have to sign and hand it in.

MOVES III Grants

Your new charger can benefit from the electric mobility grants (MOVES III), which in the Balearic Islands are managed directly by the Govern de les Illes Balears. I will hand over all the technical documentation of the installation, the invoice, and the registered certificate (boletín) so you can apply for your subsidy without any hiccups.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about EV chargers

Which electric-car charger is right for me?

It depends on your car, your contracted power and where you will install it. At home, a single-phase 7.4 kW charger is typical; with a three-phase supply you can reach 11 or 22 kW. I install Wallbox, Simon and other brands, and during my visit I will recommend the power and model that fit your needs best.

How long does it take to charge the car at home?

With a 7.4 kW home charger you recover around 30 to 40 km of range per hour of charging, so one night is enough to fill most cars. It is much faster and safer than plugging into a normal socket, and lets you schedule charging during the cheapest hours.

Do I need the community's permission to install the charger?

For private use in your parking space, you do not need the owners' meeting approval: according to Article 17.5 of the Spanish Horizontal Property Law, you only need to notify the community of owners in writing before starting. I will prepare the notification letter for you to make it simple.

Are there grants to install a charging point?

Yes, the charging point can qualify for the MOVES III electric-mobility grants, which in the Balearics are managed by the Govern de les Illes Balears. I will leave the installation fully certified and hand over all the necessary documents so you can easily apply for the subsidy.

Do you leave it certified?

Yes. I install to the low-voltage regulation instruction specific to EV charging (ITC-BT-52), with its independent circuit and protections, and I issue the official certificate (boletín) registered with the electronic office of the Govern de les Illes Balears.

Can I charge the car with my solar panels?

Yes. If you have or are going to install solar panels, I will configure the charger to use the solar surplus so you charge the car with free energy from the sun. I combine it with your self-consumption installation.

Do you cover the whole of Mallorca?

Yes, I work across the whole island of Mallorca. My team and I assist you in English, Spanish and German, and I reply the same day to arrange the visit and the quote.

Quality

I install the brands that perform the best

When it comes to your charger, I don't take risks with unknown brands. I work mainly with charging stations from Wallbox and Simon, which offer absolute reliability, excellent smart management, and outstanding technical support.
