We install solar panels and self-consumption, with or without batteries, on the village houses of Montuïri and on the fincas around it. We are a licensed low-voltage installation company: a study based on your bills, installation, legalisation and the grant paperwork, with no middlemen.

Your village
The village of Montuïri sits up on a hill, at around 150 metres, and at its foot the plain of the Pla opens out, with dry-farmed fincas, almond trees and country houses. They call for two different installations: in the village, the roof decides; in the countryside, the well and what the finca uses.
In a village on a slope, the house above and the house below don't get the sun in the same way: the neighbour's roof, a chimney or the bell tower itself can cast shade early or late in the day. Before deciding how many panels fit, we look at which roof slope gets unobstructed sun and at what times, and the panels go flush with the tiles so they barely show from the street.
On a finca, a good part of the electricity goes on water: the well pump, the booster pump, the irrigation. Those machines can work in the daytime, just when the panels are producing, and that is where the saving is. If you want the irrigation to run on the sun alone, see direct solar pumping.
In the Balearic Islands, panels on a building's roof only need a prior notification, not a building permit (Balearic Planning Act 12/2017, arts. 148.4 and 153.1.e). A building permit is needed if the house is listed or is an asset of cultural interest (BIC), or if the structure is affected: that is why the first step is to check Montuïri's municipal heritage catalogue.
In numbers
We queried PVGIS, the European Commission's official tool, with the village's coordinates (1 October 2026, panels at 35° facing south, 14 % losses): each installed kWp gives about 1,541 kWh a year in Montuïri. Palma gives 1,572: here it is 2 % less. A 3 kWp home system comes to around 4,620 kWh a year.
The hill has no mountains nearby to block its sun: with the terrain or without it, PVGIS gives practically the same (1,541 versus 1,542). The weakest month is December, with about 96 kWh per kWp; the best, July, with 158. In other words, in midwinter the panels still give 61 % of what they give in summer.
The saving is not in producing a lot but in using what you produce: every kWh that comes off your roof and is used in the house is one you don't pay your supplier for. What is left over is fed into the grid and offset on your bill (simplified compensation, RD 244/2019, art. 14.3): it is valued in euros, normally at a lower price than you pay for it, and the deduction cannot exceed what you pay for grid energy that month.
Grants
ICIO: Montuïri's construction tax (ICIO) bylaw provides a rebate of 95 % on the parts of the works that are solar installation (art. 3.3). We'll confirm the current text and how to apply before you decide. The published property tax (IBI) bylaw (BOIB no. 169 of 2014) has no rebate for panels.
FOTOPAR: the 2026 call closed on 30 April 2026. The 2027 call runs from 26 January to 30 April 2027 or until its €2 million run out (BOIB no. 171, 25 December 2025); you must apply before work starts and have a home address in the Balearic Islands. In the meantime, FACTOR 2026 (BOIB no. 83, 2 July 2026) remains open until 28 February 2027 for batteries (45 %), but it does not pay for a private individual's panels.
If the system is finished and paid for within 2026, the income tax (IRPF) deduction for self-consumption (additional provision 62 of the Income Tax Act 35/2006) applies: 10 %, up to a maximum of €500. You claim the income tax (IRPF) deduction yourself in your Spanish tax return, with the invoices and certificates we give you.
We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, submit the grant application and its justification; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. Whether it is awarded is up to the authorities.

How we work
Send us an electricity bill, photos of the roof and the location. With PVGIS and the shade from the surrounding houses we calculate what you'd produce month by month.
We check whether the house is listed, prepare the prior notification with the ICIO rebate where it applies, and install it on a mounting structure calculated for wind loads.
We legalise the self-consumption (RD 244/2019) with the electrical installation certificate and, with your authorisation, apply for whichever grant is open.
Common questions
According to PVGIS, the European Commission's tool (panels at 35° south, 14 % losses), each kWp installed in Montuïri gives about 1,541 kWh a year, 2 % less than in Palma (1,572). December is the lowest month, with about 96 kWh per kWp, and July the highest, with 158. A 3 kWp system comes to around 4,620 kWh a year.
On the construction tax, yes: Montuïri's ICIO bylaw provides a rebate of 95 % on the solar installation items (art. 3.3). On the property tax (IBI), the bylaw published in BOIB no. 169 of 2014 has no rebate for panels. Before you decide we'll confirm the current text, because tax bylaws change from one year to the next.
It depends on the height of each roof and the time of day. In a hillside village like Montuïri, a taller house to the south or a chimney can block the winter sun, when it is lower. We check it with photos and the exact location before proposing anything; if part of the roof is shaded, optimisers are used, for example Huawei's, or microinverters, so that one panel in the shade doesn't drag the others down.
Yes, and that is usually where the biggest saving is. The well pump and the irrigation can be programmed for the sunny hours, so they use what the panels produce instead of grid electricity. On rural land, the Balearic Climate Change Act 10/2019 does not require a declaration of general interest for self-consumption on lawful buildings on rural land (art. 48.3.d). If the irrigation is separate from the house, it can be done with direct solar pumping, without batteries.
It is fed into the grid and your supplier deducts it from your bill: this is the simplified surplus compensation (RD 244/2019, art. 14.3). It is normally valued at a lower price than you pay for it and the deduction cannot exceed what you buy that month, so in a Montuïri house it makes sense to size for what you use in the daytime and, if you use more at night, to consider a battery. FACTOR 2026 subsidises batteries at 45 % until 28 February 2027 (BOIB no. 83, 2 July 2026).
