We're Joaquín and Juan. Campanet, home of the Coves and the Fonts Ufanes, looks over the plain from the Serra. Here we fit heat-pump splits and ducted systems and, often, replace old units with ones that use new gas and less electricity. We're a RITE-registered installer and F-gas certified. We don't subcontract anyone.

Your area
Campanet looks over the plain from the first slopes of the Serra de Tramuntana. Two AEMET stations frame it: Sa Pobla Sa Canova, at 32 m on the plain, and Lluc, at 490 m in the mountains; you can compare them on aemet.es. In houses on the slope winter weighs more, and air conditioning is also used for heating.
Stone houses, often with a courtyard or terrace at the back. The outdoor unit goes there, and if it is visible from the street or a path, it can be protected with a grille or screen that lets the air out: the unit needs the clearance its manual asks for.
On a finca the outdoor unit can be kept away from the house and the living area, but every metre of pipe counts in the calculation and the manufacturer sets a maximum length. For the whole house, ducts; for two or three rooms, a multi-split.
Many old units are not inverters and use gases no longer sold in new machines. They can keep running and be repaired, but when they fail or use too much it’s time to replace them. Sometimes the pipework can be reused: with a photo of the valves next to a 1-euro coin we’ll tell you.
Where the savings are
A new wall split, for example the General ASEH09KJCAL, uses R32, GWP 675 (Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2024/573). The regulation bans placing on the market, from 1 January 2025, single splits under 3 kg with gas of GWP 750 or more, and from 1 January 2029 air-to-air splits up to 12 kW with gas of GWP 150 or more, unless safety requires it. These are bans on selling new units: yours can keep running.
An old-style unit starts and stops; an inverter slows down once the house is at temperature, and the restarts are where the electricity goes. The same General runs in cooling between 0.9 and 3.2 kW depending on demand. In winter, IDAE recommends 21 °C: each extra degree, around 7% more consumption.
How we work
Send us photos of each room, of where the outdoor unit would go and of the fuse box. We size the unit with a heat-load calculation, as the RITE requires, and send you an itemised quote; if we need to see it, we come.
We fit it ourselves, under our F-gas certification: vacuum, leak test, condensate drain and commissioning. No subcontractors.
You get the invoice, the 3-year legal guarantee (arts. 115 quater and 120 TRLGDCU) and the servicing the regulations require or, if the manufacturer asks for more, what the manufacturer asks for.

Common questions
If it works well, there’s no obligation: it can keep running and be repaired. If it often loses gas, is noisy or uses a lot, a modern inverter uses quite a bit less for the same comfort; for example, the General ASEH09KJCAL declares a SEER of 9.2 (A+++). We’ll tell you with figures whether it pays off.
Sometimes, if the diameter and condition allow it and the new unit’s manufacturer accepts it. Send us a photo of the outdoor unit’s rating plate and a close-up of the valves with a 1-euro coin next to them: the coin gives us the scale.
Regulation (EU) 2024/573 bans placing on the market, from 2025, single splits under 3 kg with gas of GWP 750 or more and, from 2029, air-to-air splits up to 12 kW with gas of GWP 150 or more, except for safety reasons. The R32 in today’s splits has GWP 675. Article 11 allows, under conditions, the sale of parts to repair existing units.
Away from bedrooms and the terrace, with the clearance the manual asks for so it can breathe, and within the pipe length the manufacturer allows. Outdoor-unit noise is on its data sheet: for example, the General AOEH09KJCA declares 44 dB(A) in heating, in an anechoic chamber.
First we find out why it’s short: Regulation (EU) 2024/573 requires preventing emissions and repairing fluorinated-gas leaks without undue delay. We check tightness, repair and then recharge, under our F-gas certification (Royal Decree 115/2017), and quote you before.
Yes, if it is a heat pump, like almost all current ones. It heats by taking heat from the outdoor air, and in cold, damp weather it runs short defrost cycles, which are normal. IDAE recommends 21 °C in winter and 15-17 °C in bedrooms.
Quality
We work with every air-conditioning brand; the models quoted on this page are examples with official data sheets, not the only option.
