Heat pumps for your country house in Felanitx

Felanitx is an agricultural inland town: stone houses, possessions and agrotourism spread between the town, Cas Concos and s'Horta, with cool country nights and houses still saddled with oil boilers or bottled-gas cylinders. On the coast, Portocolom adds second homes. A heat pump is a perfect fit for both profiles, and even better paired with solar panels.

Stone houses and renovations

The stone houses of Felanitx are cold in winter and expensive to heat with oil. We replace the boiler with a heat pump that delivers heating and hot water on electricity, and in renovations we fit underfloor heating, which runs at a low temperature and performs brilliantly in rooms with high ceilings. Goodbye to the oil deliveries, the tank and the smell.

Agrotourism: hot water and pool

An agrotourism needs hot water for all the rooms and climate control for the guests, right in summer when occupancy is highest. A single heat pump covers it all and can heat the pool to stretch the swimming season. Fewer units, fewer breakdowns and a far lower bill for your Pla i Llevant lodging.

Heat pump + panels: climate control almost free

A heat pump runs on electricity and solar panels give it to you free during the day. On a Felanitx farm the combination is perfect: you run the climate and heat the water with barely a dent in the bill. We design both systems together so they work in sync. If you want to understand the technology in depth and the Daitsu 3-pipe Multi-Hybrid, we explain it in our heat pumps in Mallorca guide.

Straight talk

What we run into in Felanitx

We're Joaquín and Juan, and in Felanitx three scenes keep coming up. Here they are, plainly, in case yours looks like one of them.

The stone house spending a fortune on oil

A country stone house with an old oil boiler that barely warmed up and cost a fortune every winter. We took out the tank and fitted a heat pump with underfloor heating during the renovation. Now the house is properly warm, with no oil deliveries or smell, and the bill is a different story.

The agrotourism that ran out of hot water for the guests

An agrotourism that ran out of hot water in August with a full house and had a separate air-conditioning unit in each room. We put in a single heat pump for hot water, heating, cooling and the pool. One machine, plenty of hot water and a far lower bill in high season.

The Portocolom house they wanted ready off the plane

Some German owners with a house in Portocolom who came over for a few weeks a year. We left them the heat pump with control from their phone: they switch it on from the plane and land to a house that's ready. In winter they keep it mild so it doesn't pick up damp.

Answered

Common questions about heat pumps in Felanitx

I have an oil boiler in a Felanitx country house. Will a heat pump get rid of it?

Yes, and it's one of the things people ask us for most out in the country. We remove the oil boiler or the bottled-gas cylinders and fit a heat pump that delivers heating and hot water on electricity, far cheaper and cleaner. You're done with the oil deliveries, the tank and the smell, and the stone house finally gets properly warm in winter.

I have traditional radiators. Do you have to rip the place apart for underfloor heating?

Not always. A heat pump works with existing radiators by adjusting the water temperature, so in many cases we reuse what's already there. If you're renovating a possession or stone house, that's when we do recommend underfloor heating: it runs at a low temperature, performs brilliantly with the heat pump and gives even comfort in rooms with high ceilings.

My agrotourism needs hot water and climate control for the guests and the pool. Is a heat pump enough?

Yes. A single heat pump delivers heating, cooling, hot water for all the rooms and can heat the pool to stretch the swimming season. It's exactly what a Felanitx agrotourism needs in summer, when occupancy is high, and even better paired with solar panels so you run the climate control with barely a bill.

Do you handle the heat pump grants in Felanitx?

Yes. Heat pumps qualify for the FACTOR 2026 call from the Balearic Government (up to 70% of the cost for individuals, open since July 2026) and for the income-tax (IRPF) deduction, and we also manage the IBI property tax rebate under the bylaw of the Ajuntament de Felanitx. We prepare and file the paperwork for you. The award is up to the authorities, but the application work is on us.

I'm a German or British owner in Portocolom. Will you assist me in my language?

Yes. We assist you in Spanish, English and German, explain the project and the quote in your language and reply the same day. We leave the heat pump with remote control so you can get the Portocolom house ready before you arrive — very handy if you come over for a few weeks a year.
