Yes. The same heat pump that climate-controls the house can warm the pool water and stretch the swimming season, very common in the villas of Porto Cristo and Cala Murada. Combined with solar panels it costs very little. To heat it properly we fit a dedicated pool unit: we work with the Daitsu Coral II, sized by water volume — from the 18-35 m³ model up to the 90-170 m³ one — running with ambient temperatures from -2 °C to 40 °C and a sound level of 38 to 57 dB(A) depending on the model. It has a smart grid function so it heats when there's spare sun (official Daitsu catalogue 2024-25). That's why we measure the pool before quoting a price.

No, we do it often. We remove the oil boiler and fit the heat pump, reusing the underfloor heating or existing radiators where possible. In a Manacor town house we leave the system quiet and discreet, you get rid of the tank and the refills, and move to something cleaner and far cheaper. And with numbers, not promises: the Daitsu Multi-Hybrid unit we install reaches a COP of up to 4.24 and a seasonal SCOP of 3.72 (official Daitsu catalogue 2024-25). In plain terms: for every kWh of electricity it delivers around 3.7 kWh of heat averaged over the year. A combustion boiler cannot do that, because it doesn't multiply energy: it burns it.

Yes, it's a very good combination. The heat pump runs on electricity and you can produce it with the light from your panels, so you climate-control the house and the pool for very little electricity. We design both systems together so they work in sync. And it's not just that they share a meter: the units are Smart Grid Ready and come with Modbus RTU as standard (official Daitsu catalogue 2024-25), so the heat pump can be programmed to run when there's spare sun rather than simply by the clock. That synchronisation is the difference between owning both systems and having them work together.

Yes. Heat pumps qualify for the FACTOR 2026 call from the Balearic Government (up to 70% of the eligible cost for individuals resident in the Balearics, calculated on at most €1,000 per kW of heating output (€1,450 if the heat distribution is also new) and capped at €25,000 per installation; open since July 2026, first come first served until the funds run out) and for the income-tax (IRPF) deduction for improving the efficiency of your main home or of a home you let. We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, file and justify the grant; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. The award is up to the authorities, but the work of applying is on us.
