We install solar panels and self-consumption across the municipality: Santa Margalida village, its fincas, and the coast at Can Picafort, Son Baulò and Son Serra de Marina. We are an authorised low-voltage electrical installer: survey, installation, legalisation and grant paperwork.

Your area
Santa Margalida is a long municipality: the village on its hill, an interior of dry-farming fincas and a coast of apartments and villas between Can Picafort and Son Serra de Marina. Each part calls for a different installation.
The coast has a lot of seasonal and rental housing. Near the sea the fixings are A4 stainless and the frame is calculated for wind under the Spanish Building Code (CTE DB SE-AE). The heavy summer load, air conditioning, matches peak production.
On the fincas there's room to put the panels on the ground, facing south and free of shade. If the finca is off-grid, batteries are sized for the worst month of the year, not the average.
In Santa Margalida village, tiled roofs with several slopes: flush panels on the sunniest slope and power matched to the house's consumption. The 2022 IBI table by power bands no longer appears in the published bylaw (more on that below).
In numbers
According to PVGIS (European Commission, queried on 7-Oct-2026, 35° south, 14 % losses), each kWp yields about 1,530 kWh a year in Santa Margalida and 1,499 kWh in Can Picafort. A 3 kWp system comes to around 4,590 kWh a year.
In winter the village holds up better than the coast: the worst month (November) gives 57 % of the sunniest month in Santa Margalida and 55 % in Can Picafort.
The saving lies in using while you produce. In a summer let, the air conditioning eats July and August's production; in a year-round home you also benefit by running the washing machine, water heater or heat pump in sunny hours.
Grants
ICIO (building-works tax): Santa Margalida's bylaw gives a 95 % rebate on the cost of the solar part (art. 5.3, BOIB no. 186 of 13-12-2011).
IBI (property tax): in 2022 Santa Margalida's bylaw brought in a rebate for solar panels of between 10 % and 50 % depending on power, for 3 periods (art. 15.6, BOIB no. 122 of 17-09-2022). However, BOIB no. 170 of 28-12-2024 published a new wording of that same section 6, which is now a 5 % rebate for paying in instalments and no longer mentions solar panels, and the town hall has another amendment approved only provisionally (BOIB no. 111 of 05-09-2026). On the text published today we don't take the IBI rebate for granted: before you count on it, we confirm it with the town hall.
FOTOPAR 2027 (Balearic Government): applications from 26 January to 30 April 2027 or until its 2 million euros run out, and you must apply before the work starts. Applicants must be domiciled in the Balearic Islands: if it is your holiday home, ask us about your case. Batteries can go through FACTOR 2026 (45 %, open until 28 February 2027), but not both grants for the same thing.
If the installation is paid for and finished in 2026, the new Spanish income-tax deduction for self-consumption (DA 62ª) is 10 %, up to €500. Income-tax (IRPF) deductions are claimed by you in your Spanish tax return, using the invoices and certificates we hand over.
We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, file and justify the grant; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. The authorities decide whether it is awarded.

How we work
With an electricity bill and photos of the roof or land we work out the power and what it will produce according to the typical year calculated by PVGIS.
We install with marine-grade materials on the coast and legalise the self-consumption system (RD 244/2019) with the electrical installation certificate.
With your authorisation we file whichever grant is open and prepare the paperwork for the ICIO rebate. We confirm the IBI rebate with the town hall first, because it doesn't appear in the bylaw as published today.

Common questions
According to the typical year calculated by PVGIS, the European Commission's official tool (35° south, 14 % losses), each kWp yields about 1,499 kWh a year in Can Picafort and 1,530 in Santa Margalida village. A 3 kWp system comes to around 4,590 kWh a year. In November, the worst month, it still gives 55 % of July's output on the coast and 57 % in the village.
In Santa Margalida, 95 % of the building-works tax on the cost of the solar part (art. 5.3 of the ICIO bylaw, BOIB no. 186 of 13-12-2011). It's the maximum Spain's Local Finances Act (art. 103.2) allows for solar energy.
In Santa Margalida, today we don't take it for granted. In 2022 the bylaw brought in a rebate for solar panels of between 10 % and 50 % depending on power, for 3 periods (art. 15.6, BOIB no. 122 of 17-09-2022), but BOIB no. 170 of 28-12-2024 gave that section 6 a new wording (5 % for paying in instalments) that no longer mentions solar panels. There's also an amendment approved only provisionally (BOIB no. 111 of 05-09-2026). Before you count on it, we confirm it with the town hall.
FOTOPAR 2027 opens from 26 January to 30 April 2027 (BOIB no. 171 of 25-12-2025) and you must apply before starting, but it requires individuals to be domiciled in the Balearic Islands. If you don't live here, you may not qualify: tell us your case. In a building, shared self-consumption needs the owners' association's agreement. That's just over 3 months to apply, so it pays to be ready beforehand.
Yes, with batteries and an inverter-charger, sized for the worst month of the year: in Santa Margalida, November, with 92 kWh per kWp according to the typical year calculated by PVGIS. For the FACTOR grant on an off-grid system, the legality of the site must be proven.
On the Can Picafort seafront, yes, with the right materials: aluminium frame, A4 stainless fixings and wind calculation under the Spanish Building Code (CTE DB SE-AE). That's what prevents the corrosion we see on coastal systems fitted with ordinary steel.
Quality
We work with every brand; for example JA Solar or LONGi panels, Fronius, Huawei or GoodWe inverters and BYD or Pylontech batteries, and Victron on off-grid fincas.

Send us an electricity bill and a few photos, and we'll tell you what you'd produce and which rebate applies. Itemised quote.
