We install solar panels and self-consumption in Muro: village houses, market-garden fincas on the plain with wells and pumps, and villas and apartments at Platja de Muro. We are an authorised low-voltage electrical installer: survey, installation, legalisation and grant paperwork.

Your area
The municipality of Muro runs from the hilltop village to the farmland of the plain, s'Albufera and Platja de Muro on Alcúdia Bay. Three very different uses of energy, and self-consumption makes sense in all three.
On the fincas of the Muro plain the big load is usually the well pump, which runs by day and in summer: exactly when panels produce most. That's why pumping pays back so well. It is sized from the pump's power and irrigation hours, with or without batteries depending on whether you water at night.
In Muro village roofs are usually tiled with several slopes. We use the sunniest slope with flush panels and match the size to the house's real consumption so you use almost everything they produce.
On the coast, next to s'Albufera, many homes are used seasonally or let. The consumption peak is July and August air conditioning, which matches the production peak. Near the sea, A4 stainless fixings because of the salt.
In numbers
According to PVGIS, the European Commission's official tool (queried on 7-Oct-2026, 35° south, 14 % losses), each kWp in Muro yields about 1,546 kWh a year. A 3 kWp home system comes to around 4,640 kWh a year.
Muro, on the plain, has one of the steadiest winters in the area: the worst month (November, 94 kWh per kWp) gives 59 % of the sunniest month. With no mountains blocking the low sun, winter doesn't switch the system off.
Where the saving is: every kWh you use while the panels produce is one you don't buy. An irrigation pump running at midday uses almost all of it, which is why the numbers work so well on farmland.
Grants
IBI (property tax): Muro's tax bylaw gives a 50 % IBI rebate for 3 periods to homes on urban land that install solar energy for self-consumption, capped at €300 a year and 33 % of the installation cost before VAT, and only for installations started after 1 January 2024 (art. 6, BOIB no. 168 of 24-12-2024). A rural finca doesn't qualify for this rebate.
ICIO (building-works tax): a 50 % rebate on the solar part of the works (art. 3.2 of its bylaw).
FOTOPAR 2027 (Balearic Government): applications from 26 January to 30 April 2027 or until its 2 million euros run out, and you must apply before the work starts. Applicants must be domiciled in the Balearic Islands: if it is your holiday home, ask us about your case. Batteries can go through FACTOR 2026 (45 %, open until 28 February 2027), but not both grants for the same thing.
If the installation is paid for and finished in 2026, the new Spanish income-tax deduction for self-consumption (DA 62ª) is 10 %, up to €500. Income-tax (IRPF) deductions are claimed by you in your Spanish tax return, using the invoices and certificates we hand over.
We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, file and justify the grant; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. The authorities decide whether it is awarded.

How we work
With your bill (or the pump's power and irrigation hours) and photos of the roof or land, we work out what you'd produce according to the typical year calculated by PVGIS and how much of your consumption it covers.
We install on the roof or on the ground and legalise the self-consumption system (RD 244/2019) with the electrical installation certificate.
With your authorisation we file whichever grant is open, and leave you the IBI rebate paperwork if the home is on urban land.

Common questions
It usually pays back well, because an irrigation pump runs by day and in summer, just when panels produce most. In Muro each kWp yields about 1,546 kWh a year according to the typical year calculated by PVGIS (European Commission), with July the sunniest month. It's sized from the pump's power and irrigation hours; if you need to water at night, with batteries.
About 4,640 kWh a year according to the typical year calculated by PVGIS (35° south, 14 % losses, queried on 7-Oct-2026). And winter holds up: the worst month, November, gives 59 % of the sunniest month, together with Campanet the highest figure of the northern towns we queried, because there are no mountains on the Muro plain blocking the sun.
Yes, but only for homes on urban land: 50 % of IBI for 3 periods, capped at €300 a year and 33 % of the installation cost before VAT, and only for installations started after 1 January 2024 (art. 6 of the IBI bylaw, BOIB no. 168 of 24-12-2024). A rural finca doesn't qualify. We prepare the technical documents the town hall asks for.
Muro's ICIO bylaw gives a 50 % rebate on the solar part of the works (art. 3.2). It applies to the photovoltaic items, not to a renovation you do at the same time.
At Platja de Muro, on a house, yes, with A4 stainless fixings for the salt and a frame calculated for wind under the Spanish Building Code (CTE DB SE-AE). In an apartment building, shared self-consumption is possible with the owners' association's agreement. The heavy summer load (air conditioning) matches peak production.
FOTOPAR 2027 opens from 26 January to 30 April 2027 (BOIB no. 171 of 25-12-2025), with 2 million euros for all the Balearics, and you must apply before starting. Batteries can go through FACTOR 2026 at 45 % until 28 February 2027. And if you finish and pay in 2026, the income-tax deduction for self-consumption is 10 %, up to €500.
Quality
We work with every brand: for example JA Solar or LONGi panels with Fronius, Huawei or GoodWe inverters, and Victron with Pylontech or BYD batteries on an off-grid finca.

Send us your bill (or the well pump's details) and a few photos, and we'll tell you what you'd produce. Itemised quote.
