We are Joaquín and Juan, a RITE-certified thermal installer licensed by the Industry department. In Binissalem we fit heat pumps in stone houses in the old town, country houses and renovations: one unit for heating, cooling and hot water that replaces heating oil. From the survey to legalisation and the grant, we do it ourselves. We do not subcontract anything.

Your town
Binissalem's stone houses have something going for them: thick walls that are slow to cool down and slow to warm up. That suits a low-temperature heat pump very well, as it heats gently and without peaks. What does not suit them is an oversized boiler switching on and off all day, which is what many old-town houses still have, oil tank included.
The machine is the easy part; the question is where the outdoor unit goes without bothering the neighbours or spoiling the façade, and how the pipes run. We reuse your radiators where possible, and in a renovation we fit underfloor heating. Underfloor heating is for heating: summer cooling comes from fan coils or ducts run by the same heat pump.
Mains gas does not reach the country houses of the municipality; oil or bottled gas is the norm. A heat pump replaces both for heating and hot water, and with solar panels on the roof much of the electricity it uses comes from the sun.
If you are renovating, now is the time: underfloor heating is planned from the start, the hot-water cylinder is sized for the real household and everything is left ready for panels. Want to understand COP or the 3-pipe multi-hybrid? It is all in our Mallorca heat pump guide.
Grants
Heat pumps are covered by FACTOR 2026, the Balearic government call: 70% of the eligible cost, counting at most €1,000 per kW of thermal output (plus €450/kW if new distribution is fitted: underfloor heating, fan coils or ducts), with a cap of €25,000 per installation for individuals. Applications run until 28 February 2027, first come, first served, while funds last.
Two conditions worth knowing first: the heat pump needs a seasonal performance factor (SPF) above 2.5, and in homes air-to-air units, i.e. splits, are not eligible. If you already started the works in 2026 you do not lose out: the call accepts works started from 1 January.
The Balearic government grants require individual applicants to be domiciled in the Balearic Islands: if the house is a holiday home and you live abroad, we check that before counting on them.
Binissalem's local tax discounts (IBI and ICIO) are for solar, not for heat pumps. If you add panels, you do get those: see solar panels in Binissalem.

How we work
You send us photos and details by WhatsApp or email; with them we look at what you have now (oil, bottled gas, electric, splits), how the house is built and how you use it, and work out the output from the heat loads of the house, as RITE requires. Itemised quote. If we need to see it, we come.
We install the heat pump, underfloor heating or emitters and the hot water, and register it with the Industry department under RITE. No subcontractors: we do it ourselves.
We tell you whether your system qualifies and how much it could be. We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, file and justify the grant; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. The authorities decide whether it is awarded.

Beyond heat pumps
In Binissalem, among village houses and vineyard estates, we also handle cooling, electrics and water.

Yes: in the old town, in Biniagual and in the country houses of the municipality, in renovations and new builds. We are a RITE-certified thermal installer: we design, install and register the system with the Industry department under the Spanish Regulation on Thermal Installations in Buildings.
Yes, and in Binissalem's stone houses it is one of the changes you notice most on the bill. We remove the boiler and the tank and fit the heat pump, reusing the radiators if the house allows it. For example, the Daitsu Multi-Hybrid unit has a COP of up to 4.24 and a seasonal SCOP of 3.72 (official Daitsu 2024-25 catalogue): for every kWh of electricity it delivers around 3.7 kWh of heat on average over the year.
Yes, with the same air-to-water heat pump (a Daitsu, for example), but not through the floor: in Mallorca, with its humidity, cooling comes from fan coils or ducts, and underfloor heating is kept for winter. That is designed in from the start.
Yes, FACTOR 2026 from the Balearic government: 70% of the eligible cost, with a maximum of €1,000 per kW of thermal output (plus €450/kW if new distribution is fitted) and a cap of €25,000 per installation for individuals, applied for by 28 February 2027 while funds last. Air-to-air splits in homes are not eligible. We prepare the paperwork and, with your authorisation, file and justify the grant; you sign the application and the grant is paid into your bank account. The authorities decide whether it is awarded.
No: Binissalem's IBI bylaw (art. 11.4, BOIB no. 172 of 2023) and its ICIO bylaw discount solar, not heat pumps. If you install panels at the same time, those get 25% off IBI for 3 years and 70% off ICIO on the solar part.
At 21 °C you are already comfortable, and according to IDAE, the Spanish energy agency, each extra degree of heating raises consumption by about 7%. In a thick-walled Binissalem house that holds the heat, keeping a steady temperature uses less than turning it up and down.
Quality
We work with all brands. For example DAITSU —with its multi-hybrid (climate + hot water) and HEATANK cylinders—, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, General, Fujitsu, Baxi, Midea, Gree, Panasonic, Samsung, LG or Toshiba.
